ICUR 2016 (International Conference on Urban Risks) / First announcement / Call for Abstracts

Lisbon 30 June - 2 July, 2016

The International Conference on Urban Risks, ICUR 2016, intends to gather practitioners, researchers and other specialists that study or deal with different risks on urban areas, in order to share their experiences and practices, to discuss risks from diverse perspectives and to cope with the latest results of research.

The conference topics will range from the concepts and methods on risk management to the risk assessment of a variety of urban risks, like the risks induced by natural and technological hazards, environmental, health and societal risks, and also comprising topics dedicated to risk treatment and communication. This wide range of topics makes this conference a valuable gathering place for all players involved in urban risk related issues, as well as for different stakeholders.

The Committee of the Regions includes our project in a European study

The MIRACLE project has been included in the European study "Towards a new update of the Digital Agenda and creation of the Digital Single Market: challenges and opportunities for Local and Regional Authorities in the European Union", a research realized and published by the Committee of the Regions. This institution is the European Union's assembly of regional and local representatives.

Our project is a case study, together with other European initiaves, of the main analysis of the main strategies, potential and trends at the local and regional level in the EU for implementing the Digital Agenda for Europe and creating the connected Digital Single Market.

Critical Infrastructure Resilience Workshop 2014

The purpose of the workshop 'Critical Infrastructure Resilience Workshop' is to support the delivery of Scottish Government tasks within the MiRACLE Project.
The event comprises good proactive Critical Infrastructure Resilience Visits and a Workshop to explore effective alignment of Regional, National and European level CIR approaches.
